Getting lots of picture break up.

Kruijswijk is really pushing on, seems to be increasing his lead over the breakaway as well as the peloton. How long can he keep it up?

I'm wondering what he's doing too, he probably woke up today thinking he wasn't Dutch, thinking an attack wouldn't automatically fail

Unless Astana goes absolutely mental the break should stick. If so, who do you reckon will win? There are some fairly strong climbers in the group. Of course Betancur is there, but is his shape good enough? Zakarin is obv is the best shape of his life, but has been way off in every stage so far. Has he found his legs? Intxausti is also a good bet, Niemiec as well.

Personally I would back Intxausti for the win.

I think Kruijswijk doesn't want to ride tactically in a big breakaway, where often riders look at eatch other. He just wants to riiiiide.

Still don't get why Tinkov is pulling. They are risking Aru and Porte are taking precious bonus seconds if they caught the über-strong break. Unless Contador of course is fine, which I hope he is.

They're setting basic tempo, nothing special.
Yeah they're riding uphill with Tosatto not really a hard pace; if the break can't handle that....

Are they really pulling or just occupying the space at the front of the peloton because they have the pink jersey?

They dont want to risk anything. The break up front cant be allowed to take too much time on the leaders and while keeping and establish a rhytmn they control the eventual counterattacks.

The 11 chasers are not working together. Big fail by them cause this could be a great opportunity for someone to win the stage.

No chance for the break with this gap.So no Zakarin or Betancur win today :(

Dont get why Tinkoff Saxo is pulling.. they're seriously tactically stupid. Is is Michaelsen og De Jongh calling the shots? They really miss Riis! why couldn't they just let them ride with 7-8 minutes?

Agree. The bonus seconds at the end are also tempting.

They're not getting the break back. Just keeping the difference constant. Or not letting it go to high. Responsibility of la maglia rosa.

Not much collaboration in the break. The gap is pretty steady now at 4'45 between the break and the peloton. On another note, Betancur looks to be flying today.

Betancur likes Fast and Furious, and he also likes Reggae.
