At about 4 minutes from the podium I'm not sure if Cunego would be allowed to go in the break. Certainly if he were they wouldn't be given great leeway as his form appears the best it's been for ages.

for me, heras wasn't the strongest. menchov was
but rabobank was weak as hell, only kolobnev ok. liberty seguros super strong
people shouldn't forget that heras didn't drop menchov on coladiella! he drop him only on the descent while risking his carrer and life to do that. he gapped him there

i think astana should try and at least go for the stage wins
today i expect tiralongo to destroy the peloton on daone and mikel landa to get the stage win

Of course, in recent times Bertie and Saxo outfoxed JRod and Katusha in the Vuelta, when JRod looked the strongest on the climbs (at least he had defended his lead comfortably on proper MTFs). I can't see Aru doing anything like that though, because Bertie is stronger in all dimensions. In the 2012 Vuelta, Contador used his team and JRods weakness on the flat. Astana will be strong enough to get guys away for stage wins, but no more, I think.
