Tinkoff need to have someone in the break tomorrow for reasons posters here have mentioned.
I would not be surprised to see an Astana move on the Daone.

Then what?

Descent and 7 km flat.

Won't hurt contador at all, besides he might just ride away on the daone.

Beñat and Bananito in the break. I thought about maybe Kruijswijk, but he went surprisingly deep today so presumably isn't as interested in the GPM as I thought he might be. Geschke maybe, but I can't see him staying with the former two if they fight out Daone.
That is a given. The fight for the KOM shirt is heating up!!

Why would he "ride away on the Daone" if he is with 2-3 Astanas? In that case, he should sit on their wheels. Having a man up the road is insurance.

Contador seems to have killer legs, and if there's one thing in cycling you should do, is to profit from them to the maximum. Just following when you know you're better than the rest is useless - better to increase the margin as you never know what may come next. But the attack should obviously come on the last mountain. Let his team do the work before.

Kruijwisjk is after a stage win and top 10. He'll be in the break but he won't contest the KOM points

Aru and Landa and Tiralongo to set off with Contador on Daone.
Wouldn't that be exciting! We can only hope Aru and Astana keep racing aggressively in the mountains.

Aru might need a breather here, he went way into the red today. He is only 24. I don't know if he will have the energy to try an attack tomorrow.

Contador and Landa to fight it out for the stage win.

Or Zakarin with a monster solo followed by Hesjedal and Beñat.

He can drop them all to shatter them. Having a man up front but i don't think it's that important in this stage.

More important in the aprica stage.

If Astana wants to win this race, they need to use Landa or Cataldo in the early break and hope the overall strength is strong. That could dismantle Stinkoff's team relatively early giving Astana serious options.

Waiting for the last climb and sending these GC wannabees up the road will only gain 20-30s on Contador.

Anyway I just don't think the field below Contador has what it takes to even dent the Spaniard, so we might have to settle for a battle of the lower podium places.

A bardiani rider to win it. If it's a large break, then expect to see 2 or 3 Bardiani riders. One from Zardini, Bongiorno, Pirazzi, Battaglin and Boem for the TV and to pull hard. I think Bongiorno.

Now that Porte seems down, please someone set Nieve free, he needs to warm his legs for an epic stage win to Sestrieres in the 3rd week.

Full day broadcast tomorrow?

No way.
Too costly for the Giro unfortunately.
I just hope they'll do it on Tuesday.
Not that I could follow it anyway, but...

lol, but now that the Gorilla went back to the jungle who will do the heavy lifting? Trek? Or perhaps Sky for Viviani now that Porte tanked.

Isn't it nice to have a couple of genuine climbers feuding over it day after day?

No, in Madonna di Campiglio, but the finish is only about 200m higher than the actual town and is the highest point of the stage, another website says 12° in Madonna di Campiglio but we could get a little bit of rain.
