I have my doubts as well, I have my doubts about the extent of Contador's injury as well.

I agree...but if Porte is injured it's no more than Uran and Contador. He should be still racing the three weeks...it's a cunning plan to take him out. I am certain of it

Contador to attack on the second last climb, and then Paulinho will wait for him on the descent and pace him into the last climb.

Yes. What Froome has seen here has scared him deeply. He´ll want whatever firepower he can have fresh and fit.

He was in a break earlier between the peloton and the Intxausti group but it got caught again. Maybe he reckons that the break doesn't have a chance given how fast they're racing? He can save his energy and try to do well on the Daone, if the race doesn't explode completely there already I guess.

Yeah, I know. But I mean, look at the riders who have bridged now. Surely Betancur could have bridged if he wanted to (two of his teammates even made it to the front!).
