Unfortunately, the previous two weeks have shown quite conclusively that if the GPS says 1m40s it can be anywhere from 5 mins to 2 secs. It's foolish to trust it or take any conclusions from it.

It was definitely somewhere around 1.30-2min going by the times they passed the 45km banner
 
I hope Contador is getting a nice training ride, because if he's going all out just for revenge, he's an idiot. He doesn't need the GC time, and he's very unlikely to catch the break for a stage win.

Really, really, really don't understand everyone here praising him. Strategically, this appears to be a very dumb thing to do.

I'll eat some of my words if he wins the stage, but if he doesn't, this will come back to haunt him at the TDF. And right after he said every move had consequences.

Darn it,I wonder how much this will cost Landa for tomorrow and the stage on Saturday.....:(

Well,maybe they should have waited for Contador on the Mortirolo stage,seems to be pay back big time.
