betancur finished in first 25 I think and pretty much says f*** you to pozzovivo

Gretsch also in the first group, surely a useful chaser. No one came in with Pozzovivo, although Dupont and Berard might have been chasing and dropped out of the group in the final couple of kms, or maybe not. It has quite often seemed to be an every man for himself type of team and that seems to be continuing.

fast sprint from petacchi btw. surpring. and what a joke sprint of boonen

he couldn't accelerate that's all, nothing anormal given the fact he just raced Turquie and that's it...
what? he definitely had an acceleration if you looked in replay. boonen doesn't have one anymore though it seems

Did Boonen even try to sprint? It looks like he was alongside Uran, like Tiralongo was with Aru.
However Boonen is not really a sprinter any more and has been injured, so no good expecting anything from him.

Boonen sprinted hard, he was maybe 4th at 300 m, but finally he finisedh behind Uran. After Greipel went on the front he left the sprint.

All the big names have been in the first positions, just in case.

Fair enough, I was wrong.

Nice sprint from Viviani as well as from Hofland. Viviani picked exactly the right wheel on the right moment. He was on another train and jumped over. The others were nowhere in the end. Nice to see Hofland back in action in this way!

Viviiani pays remembrance for the coach that started him off as a 7 year old,

With a lap to go Domenico had a couple of helpers so they probably would have dropped back late on if he had no teammates in the 1'09 group. They werent far behind it (less than 20") so it's pretty feasible they could have sat up only in the last couple of hundred metres. They also had Houle, Nocentini and Montaguti +4'33, so they may have helped at one point but they're some way back so they may have been the others caught up in the crash and not waited for.
