Kristoff looks like the man to beat, at the moment and I suppose he won't have problems with acclimatization.
But some team soldier and up and coming rider, more often than the leader, takes this.
A fresh acquisition of a redressed team is my pick.

Kristoff has never been anywhere near the front in this race though. In general he typically struggles in all of the "short" cobbled classics, as his endurance is his main asset.

But then again, he had never performed in Qatar either prior to this season.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who've been looking forward to Het Volk since Paris-Roubaix.

Obviously the team with the most pressure to win is Etixx. Can't go with anyone from another team...hoping it is Stybar who takes the win.

They haven't won that race in 10 years. Some outsider will probably win again.

Could be the year for QS to break their drought. Their team looks stupid-strong and I think they're relatively hungry for this one.

Always interesting to see GVA and Phil play off each other (or not). At the very least, you can usually count on a crazy attack or two.

No Saxo or Trek here? Fairly interesting that neither Boonen nor Cancellara has ever won this one. That said, Canc always skips it; I can only remember him doing this race once.

Etixx should win. At least I hope ...

Outside bet? How about Wigo going solo the last 20km :D

That would be funny, but imo he is going to prepare for Roubaix Nibali 2014 style.

What is the weather forecast?

Bit early for predictions imo, but friday/saturday dry sunny weather with 7-9 celsius.
Sunday rain/wet snow. Also until friday plenty of rain.

So it can go any direction really.
