In an interview a few weeks ago Adam Yates said that he felt he aimed to be good for too many races last year which had a negative affect on his performance.
This year aiming to be a little more selective.
It's really not UAE's day. UCI is not granting the GC win for Murcia to Soler, since you need at least two days of racing.
Indeed, was the same case in 2024. Difference here was that the organisation did celebrate Soler as a winner for the GC. That's why people might have been confused about it.Van Gils wasn't awarded Ruta del Sol GC either, right?
Yes.So he was aiming to be good for many, but wasn't really good for any.
Almeida was supposed to race PN, wasn't he? What happened to him?
I was thinking the same thing if the war will drain its coffers. Only time will tell.UAE is obviously a very rich country, however the depths of their coffins can’t be endless. Will the US -Iran war and the effect of it on the oil economy affect UAEs spending on sportswashing projects like the cykling team. Maybe they will increase their spending to pull back tourists or have to cut back to support airlines etc.
Probably out of the Giro as well then.Christen broke his collarbone. Spring season is over.
They will fly later in the season because they have multiple riders very strong and will almost start their season in May.

Arent collarbones not that heavy these days? Usually you can be on rollers pretty quick, depending on fracture ofc. Anyway hope he heals fast, was an absolute unit in Strade and also a beast helping Torito on the last stage of TirrenoProbably out of the Giro as well then.
Pro athletes do recover remarkably quickly nowadays with advances in medical science but 6-7 weeks to recover enough to be fit enough to play a useful role in a 3 week race feels like a tight schedule.Arent collarbones not that heavy these days? If I remember right, Abrahamsen broke his collarbone 10 days before the Tour last year and ended up winning the stage. Of course every injury is different but even 3 weeks can be enough if you're luckyPro athletes do recover remarkably quickly nowadays with advances in medical science but 6-7 weeks to recover enough to be fit enough to play a useful role in a 3 week race feels like a tight schedule.
