How the heck is Gallopin putting time into the Porte group ?!

I'm guessing they aren't keen to chase, Gallopin may take yellow but he will fall off the podium with the MTT tomorrow

Well done Tony, there seems to be something wrong with Porte, wasn't pulling at all in the end.

Fabulous ride by Gallopin. He really has a nose for these type of wins. I think he'll take the overall now as well.

Yeah, Porte only put 23 seconds into Talansky two years ago and he seemed exhausted in the end.

TVG shows what he's made of...wonder what he'll be whining about this time!

What an EPIC stage this was. Thanks to Etixx, Kwia and Gallopin (and Porte/Thomas :p)

Now off to Tirreno.

Agreed, exciting rider with ability that will seize any opportunity he can for a win like this. What a stage that was today! Sets things up a treat for tomorrow.

Talansky is a much better climber than Gallopin, or has Gallopin improved that much climbing wise?

Besides, i assume today's efforts will have an heavy influence on tomorrow's results

Surely Gallopin will take the GC now with a decent buffer. Porte wont be in great shape tomorrow after that fall and the way Gallopin is going atm its v hard to see who will take the jersey off him

I don't think that he will be able to climb Eze within 20 minutes. He should lose the jersey but It will be interesting to watch, that's for sure.

This. Is. Crazy!

(Just slightly disappointed Fuglsang or Valgren couldn't take it. Though that's more the Dane-bias speaking.)

He also put 27sec into Quintana that day and 52 into van Garderen. Porte certainly can pull it back if hes on top form.

Now off to Tirreno.

And Fuglsang/Costa! I think they animated the race far more than the SKY duo, unless you consider crashing to be part of animating a race

It's pretty obvious Porte isn't in the same form as 2013 though.

Thomas pulled the whole group on the last climb before Porte put in a massive attack. The group that took second was made with a Porte attack.

Think it will be v hard to take back over half a min on Gallopin. He will be inspired tomorrow and will leave it all out there. Porte prob not in great shape after his spill today
