Terpstra got the best result he could. Kristoff was unbeatable.

He didn't have to work with one of the best sprinters in the world. Could easily have allowed the bunch to reform when he saw Kristoff on his wheel and then tried to attack again on the Kwaremont.

Once again, poor tactics from Etixx. Terstra needed to jump with 2km to go if he wanted to win
I honoustly think it would not have mattered or changed anything. Kristoff was the strongest, he showed that on the patersberg. Any attack Terpstra would've done would amount to nothing. He was riding for 2nd place the minute he wasn't stronger on the Patersberg

Terpstra played it ok but imo he shouldn't have done anything in the last 10 km. He was never gonna win in the sprint.

Gamble big, kristoff had no choice but to keep riding and if the other 2 come back terpstra has more chance to win than 1v1 with kristoff.

why the criticism? should terpstra wait for van avermat and sagan so they can outsprint him as well? also kristoff was clearly stronger.

I really despise the new run-in though. Completely straight for a number of kilometres, not really very characterful. Takes something out of the finale especially when the result is a bit of a foregone conclusion as the two-up sprint was here.

With probably 0% chance of getting away from Kristoff.
Not sure if he had any chance at all against this winner. He was the strongest today!!

Exactly, the only way to beat Kristoff was to lose him on the Kwaremont and Paterberg. Terpstra basically gave him a 30 second headstart, with was more than enough.

Gap coming down as Niki's pulls become weaker. Tough situation for him.
Were they ever strong?

Lol now you are being ridiculous. Seriously.
Oh right kristoff did it all alone. Please......

I think the distribution of pulls was around 70-30 in the last 10k's

In the last 10ks. Definately, if it was 50-50 terpstra would have been a complete ***.

GVA looked very strong there in the last km no idea why Thomas didnt go when Terpstra and Kristoff went and tracked all the attacks by GVA

New formula to winning just get in a attack with the Etixx boys you are guaranteed to win
