It's funny because in May Porte was crushed by Contador.

To be fair they were quite even until Porte's penalty/crash. Porte was peaking, and Contador was.. yeah in okay shape back then.

But remember that Porte abandon the Giro before the hardest stages, and the first 8 days of this Tour he have been hiding. So he should be relative fresh.

He cracked badly during the second week. At the start he was riding well indeed.

He crashed and got injured

Sky simply has the best rider and by far the best team!!!

Yeah sure, it's the new Us Postal

Yep, Sky were unbeatable in the Giro too. Oh, wait ! Wasn't it Saxo Tinkoff showing total dominance there?

I really hope that was tongue-in-cheek. Contador was isolated for much of that race. Astana was the strong team of the Giro.

Jrod was never gonna do anything this Tour. He was the most overrated rider leading up to the Tour.

Afterwards it's always so easy. This reaction is a disgrace.
What are you talking about? Go back and read my posts on Jrod

If you said it before this Tour, it was based on no arguments
Eh? So if one correctly predicted that Jrod would be bad this Tour, it was pure luck? Right. Anyway, I've been saying that Jrod has been on a steady decline since 2012, yet die hard Jrod fans delusionally kept believing that he could reach his former level again

He did finish 4th in the Vuelta last year, but I agree that it has been a noticeable decline the last couple years for him as a GC rider.

Sure, he was on a decline in 2013. Winning the WT, 3rd in Tour, winner of Lombardia and moral winner of the Worlds

He's not as good as he was in 2012/2013. But still good enough to ride a good GC. This has just to do with sickness, horrible shape or something else. Not on being too old of other kind of nonsense.
