Quintana and Valverde just weren't there, but it sucks when someone loses time because of a crash. Esp. after having made the split.

Nibali probably got held up by a crash but did not crash himself. A few seconds hold up with this wind and a gap will quickly open up.

Seems likely.

He has a decent amount of teammates in the Quintana group. He should consider waiting.

Fantastic racing! If you want to win a GT, you need to be able to handle all sorts of conditions and these types of day are the perfect time to show good racecraft. Movistar have screwed up again so Nairo's gonna have to be perfect in the mountains at this rate..

Nibali is never getting back on today. Could be minutes behind.
He's not getting back on but the Quintana group is massive and has maintained the same gap of 1 minute the whole way. I think Nibs gets swallowed by Quintana supergroup and they keep a decent gap since they are so big.

Kinda horrible if this has to be the end of Quintana's race.

As long as he can isolate it to this stage and not lose more than two minutes it should be fine. But obviously it becomes more critical not to lose time on the cobbles now.

Quintana and Nibali groups almost together now. Astana should have 4-5 riders to pull with now.

Nibali pulling alone!!!

Where is that Nibali pulling alone coming from, because it sure isn't happening on my tv.

He did a pull and went too hard and dropped his group. Slowed down once he realized it and went back to the group.
