I wasn't even sure OGE was riding. They didn't feature in anything at all.

Good point here. They're usually ultra-active in GT first weeks, though a ITT and a flat stage with crosswinds featuring Cav, Greipel and Sagan would hardly suit them. Maybe we'll see something from Gerro here. To be honest though, I very much agree with the choir of Valverde for the win here. Purito to be close and nobody to lose any sort of meaningful time. If this is raced like Fleche...Time bonuses and nothing else.

Orica are usually great in the first week because they are superb in the TTT, so first week's like the Giro or last years Vuelta where there are some hilly stages for Matthews/Gerrans/Clark after the TTT are perfect for them.

If Froome decides to go on the attack early in the climb he will blow himself up and concede time to the others. If he rides patiently, he can place in the top 5.

Assuming there are no crashes....I don't see any GC contenders losing very much time, just a few seconds. If they lose more than that, they are probably not a contender anyway.

Good chance for Uran to grab some more seconds. Cancellara will probably hang on to Yellow but Sagan and Uran should put more than a few seconds into him on the climb. Valverde is the obvious favourite for the stage and Rodriguez if he is not hurt after his crash.

Froome takes yellow tomorrow. The Huy is a pure power climb. As we saw in the Dauphine, Froome has the most power.
I would have like to have seen TJVG in yellow but that's not happening.

Albasini has much more of a chance. Even SImon/Adam Yates I think would do better.

Yeah, he's gonna beat Sparticus by over a minute on the Muy de Huy and cruise into yellow

Quintana can do everything including this. Remember Alpe d'Huez two years ago where he crushed Rodriguez hard in the final 300 metres.

What are you smoking? Quintana is fighting for the title of most-single dimensional rider with Kittel. And he is winning.

You're just trolling, right?

Quite apart from Cancellara, without a crash there is absolutely no chance Froome takes 42 seconds off Dumoulin (who will take yellow in my view).

Was hoping for Purito. Crashes prevented that I'm afraid :(

Hope today everyone stays up. Wellens will attack on the Chevre again, just like F-W. He allready said he would.

Dumoulin will be able to follow up to Huy. How will Canc and Martin do?

They are stage hunting and so far there hasn't been a stage they could win.
Today we will be seeing them. I expect that Albasini and Simon Yates will be at the front.

Dan Martin hasn't been mentioned yet? Surely he'll be up there. I think Kwiatkowski will do alright as well.

Danny boy has been mentioned a couple of times as a podium contender (for the stage) at least. Kwiatek did a lot of work yesterday. If he were in top form he would be in the top 10, maybe 5, but I don't think he is at top form and will be working for Uran.

If Contador is going to lose time at all, it will be here. We'll see if he has recovered or not. He did not look comfortable in the TT at all.

I expect one of the main GC guys to loose time BEFORE the climb. All teams (GC and potential stage winners at least) will desperatley try to be well posititioned in the front on the foot of the climb and I expect some crashes.

Going to check out the start. Hope it's not too crowded with July fans (though chances are 0,001% for that)

Hard to see beyond Valverde for today. Perhaps Albasini or Martin.

Fairly certain there are going to be numerous crashes ... seems likely one or two of the GC guys will be affected.
Been a pretty good start to the Tour so far. Expect that to continue for the next couple of days :)
