I think FIFA are involved somehow.

Isn't Blatter also swiss? Surprisingly he did not attend the Women's world cup final citing "personal reasons"... I bet he sits in the car and calls the shots today

Unoffically but also when Cance neutralized the stage overFrank's inability to descend.

It wasn't Cancellara's fault the rest of the peloton were stupid enough to go along with him.

Except one brave guy who dared to sprint IIRC...
Chavanel won that stage and took yellow, right?

I think he's talking about Bouet, who sprinted for 2nd place and Cancellara was mad at him.
Oh, that might be the case. I don't remember that.

Apparently Purito is banged up from the crash, but not enough to miss out on the split.

Gotta love the armchair experts. Please, do carry on.

I was obviously a good call from the race director.

If they didn't neutralise the Metz massacre , I am not sure they should have neutralised here.

Two wrongs don't make a right though. Perhaps they have learnt from that and are prioritising rider safety more now. Or perhaps there was still enough medical support in 2012.

Where the hell is trek? Way is Canc all alone since forever?

I am also wondering this

Maybe they are more interested in protecting Mollema?
All of them? Why? For what? Canc is clearly the leader, just not the GC guy.

I agree, Cancellara is Trek's life insurance. They brought so many domestiques, the least they could do is send off one to support Cancellara

Is that from the crash he had yesterday, or did he get caught up again today?

5th time in the history of the Tour that it has been neutralized
Twice because riders strikes
Once when Casartelli was mortally injured
Once because of the Festina scandal

Absolutely. Even when LA throned, riders had more balls. That (unofficial) strike stage was a true low point...

Except one brave guy who dared to sprint IIRC...

I wish more would have jumped on the front and started riding.
