2015 Tour De France Stage 4: Seraing - Cambrai, 223.5 km

IMO a TTT on Stage 9 of a Tour with the first week as has been designed for this year is ridiculous.

With cobbles still to come tomorrow, you could have squad's down to 6/7. Giant and Trek both lost there power houses in Dumoulin and Cancellara. OGE lost three in Impey, Matthews and Gerrans.

Are we expecting Rowe, Thomas and Stannard with Froome in their wheels to ride away from the rest tomorrow?

No.

Even if they could, the priority will be to keep Froome safe, rather than trying to gain time.

It's a shame, because if Thomas was allowed to ride for himself he'd be a favourite, but he won't be.

I can see it happening and Sky have to be favourites for the TTT now. All 9 appear in super strong form.

not at all

Have Sky been in super strong form? If so, I hadn't really noticed.

Regardless if it's dry or wet, it will be complete mayhem again. And if we exclude the (semi-)lottery of crashes that could take out anyone, Quintana definitely has the most to fear out of the big 4.

Where's all the rank outsider predictions?

How about starting with the beast that is Damien Gaudin to take a stage victory from the break in his debut tour. It could be his best chance yet to win a Paris-Roubaix :D

Really interested to see how a motivated Tony Martin, with the possibility of yellow, goes on the cobbles. I've always thought he could be a great Paris Roubaix rider if he ever decided to tackle it.

If the wind picks up again it could be mayhem out there. In my opinion this is the stage where Nibali must claw some time back, I thought for him to win the Tour he had to be ahead of the others by stage 9. Quintana cannot afford another day shipping time, He's going to be 3 minutes behind by the time we get to the mountains if he's not careful and that is a lot to pull back.

All the many forecasts I have checked suggest chance for rain is really small, but I hope you are right though. Some Wind would also be nice, but doesnt seem to be to windy either. Semss as if the weather will be rather nice.

I agree tbf. Porte Roche Rowe look like they're in terrific form. Not to mention that all 3 are known for their superb time trialling ability, along with the likes of Kennaugh & Poels
