Casual cycling fans watching Eurosport will be expecting a Cav win. Kirby and Kelly seem convinced that he is a big favourite today.

You think that's bad, the Dutch commentators just suggested Robert Gesink as a possible winner here. Gesink has about the same shot at winning as bugs bunny

and, to quote bugs himself:

"what a dolt. what a marrrooooon. i've seen better heads on a glass of rootbeer!"

On a day like today, their monotones would send you into a blissful nap.

Arguably the perfect way to watch today's stage.

Or you can spend the time thinking about how Sagan will manage not to win stage this time. ;)

What's great about Phil and Paul are their voices. So distinctive. Irrevocably linked with the TdF.

I agree. Even though you may be joking.

Chapeau Teklehaimanot, really happy for him :)
I was having a discussion with a guy here. Is there someone who knows where he usually lives? Lucca?

Portuguese Eurosport guy says he lives in Germany but I wouldn't trust them.

Why are you listening to them? If you receive them, then you also get the Belgians, who are a universe smarter and more interesting than Herbert and Maaaaarten.

I think almost nobody from eurosport has already noticed that the finish is uphill. Eurosport germany also said that they expect a classical bunch sprint

It was in a dscussion about the following interesting fact: the last 10 years, all tour stages won by a Dutchy (ok, there are only 2, but still) are won on the 9th of july. After that they obviously suggested that today the winner might be from the Netherlands. And then they had to name the least un-favorite rider... (i'd have picked Mollema tbh)

Kelly and Kirby talking about run-in...
I should approach the final curve by inner side, transfering the momentum from the preceding straight into the tangential acceleration towards left side of the road on the incline.
That's at least what rouleurs should do.

Kirby has been worse then ever and it sadly looks as if Kelly finally have giving in to the uncontrollable mouth of the guy next to him. He just roll along in order of survival.

Must be awful for Kelly. I'm listening to Phil and Paul today. Total nonsense of course but for some reason I don't find it anywhere near as annoying - it's like listening to grandparents approaching senility and I just keep thinking "Aww bless em"

I agree completely.
