Nothing major happened GC wise. A few riders left the race because of crash. Amongst them also Torres.

Yeah, too bad about Torres, he was doing pretty good this season; this would have been a good race for him methinks.

Where'd you watch this? I'd really like a livestream, especially for tomorrow's stage.

Wait is that Polanc setting the pace in the peloton? :(

Who's he riding for? Ulissi hasn't shown any climbing form this year.....

Ulissi is riding comfortabely in the group. Perhaps that hard Giro helped him in his climbing.

He didn't show any climbing form in the Giro though, unlike Polanc who won a mountain stage with a good effort from the break. Sure, maybe Ulissi will do well, but it kind of sucks Polanc isn't getting a chance to go for the GC in his home race, despite doing a good prologue and showing good form and having done well in this race before.

I agree. I thought this was the ideal race for Polanc to get a free role. Or to be the leader.

But perhaps he feels his form isn't good enough. And if Ulissi feels good, this stage is suited to him. He's by far the most explosive guy in this race.
