Pleased for Spile,he's never really won much in his career,Romandie when he was young but not much else.

He didn't won that Romandie..
He didn't win the 2010 race? You sure about that?

Same as Scarponi won the Giro 2011
Can't they just stripe the winner in that case like with Armstrong?

I'm really annoyed with all this Perreiro-wins that actually were never archived. It's just irritant and dull and misleads the statistics!

Anybody slightly worried about what Sky might do in the Tour?

They all seem in immense form and we haven't seen lil Richie post-Giro yet.

Froome, Porte, Poels, Thomas, Kennaugh, Roche, Stannard, Rowe all nailed.

Still 1 place up for grabs and it has to be a rouleur for the first week/TTT.
That place is taken by Henao

I don't think Henao will go now, why do Sky need 7 climbers?

I'm not sure it would be wise to take both Stannard and Rowe. You'd want one of those riders to climb a bit so they can help out in the mountains/hilly stages. Kiryienka or Knees will probably be in the team.

I think the only better predictor than the gambling markets is the opposite of whatever Ryo is saying.

I admit what really gets me isn't him getting predictions wrong, nor is it really the fact that he doesn't admit to his nonsense, but rather that if you try to point him out, he insults you and goes full arrogant mode on others telling them how nobody besides him has a clue about cycling. This, when he comes up with huge amounts of tosh himself, is what makes me crawl up the walls.

That and his typically anti-social behaviour plus out-of-nowhere verbal abuse of others.

This. 100%

narcism/sociopath.

Hilarious to see people acting like Katusha are the underdog. They lead the world tour and have won the most WT races of any team.

You are hoping with Sky - The climbing domestiques were awful in the first half of the Giro - They need to show more in the TDF.

There is a cobbled stage and a lot of classic like stages in the first week, strong rouleurs are required. When both on form they can easily cope with medium mountain days.

Bravo Spilak! In another thread earlier in the week I stated that Dumoulin, or maybe Thomas would win the TdS. I don't mind eating my words when a guy has a great performance that I didn't expect. Simon has had some good performances over the years, but I guess I tend to look past him as a favorite.

Don't forget the proud and aggressive misogyny.

Despite it all, however, I don't mind Ryo. His condescension is kind of endearing, especially when he gets something completely wrong and gets called out on it, and tries to justify himself. And he can be a pretty useful source on South and Central American cycling as long as you've dealt with him long enough to cut through the bluster.

Everyone's excited about the podium. Meanwhile, De Greef gets another 22nd place in GC. He is getting more anonymous by the day, yet the results don't change one bit.

Bob Jungels 6th in GC is more dan decent, but I don't think he's a GC-man. He should focus on classics / timetrials.
He seems to be on a very good path, 6th in Suisse is nothing to spit at, he was the team's leader, he took responsibility and delivered! Now let's see how he fares in the tour - could have a nice shot from a breakaway, I think!

Wait, what? Jungles is 6th in gc? Didnt notice that although I really like him. However in the top 3 there are also dumoulin and thomas so I think you shouldn't overestimate the result of this tour (although its still great for him)

WTH did Spilak do? Katusha on fire this year. What-the-hell. Unbelievable. Spilak + MOFO Zakarin = SOVIET DOMINATION.

Can you point to a post where he says he hates women? Because using that epithet irresponsibly would be the same sort of thing you're trying to shame him for doing....

Its annoying but at times entertaining.

Just had a flashback to the GOAT internet thread of all time. Clasico RCN 2012. A poster turns up called snackattack which is clearly DAOTEC - posting all the usual DAOTEC stuff - random stupid gifs, senseless pictures etc.

Inevitably Ryo ends up getting into conflict with snackattack, and they get into a giff flame war which he was never going to win.

And this one with Ryo's name in the gif

The Godzilla one gets me everytime since its a great gif and Ryo's complaint - don't quote yourself, was so minor.

Anyway, Ryo for some reason hasn't worked out that it is DAOTEC, until he is told halfway through.

Then, as he knows who DAOTEC is in real life (they have some dutch Colombian cycling fan society) he reveals who DAOTEC is in real life and starts talking about his children

I don't think this is far fetched in Ryo's case. He has had month long bans before for misoginy. The biggest shock on the forum was when he revealed he had a girlfriend since all his posts seemed to regard women as some sort of inferior animal group. IIRC he has some particular grudge against them for not being able to ride faster than male juniors, claiming its pathetic etc.

Ryu s a puss looking for a petting. I wouldn't bother with his ilk other than the usual internet slogan of ? Don't feed the troll?. Basement dwelling naysayers don't deserve the time.

Hey Ryo, until last year's Giro Špilak had proven to be a better time trialer than your man Quintana had proven to be the climbing demigod you claimed he was.
If anybody in this forum has something against Ryo, please don't take it against Quintana. Quintana does not know Ryo.

Thanks.
