Normally Domoulin should be able to get 40 seconds on Thomas shouldn't he!? But I fear that Thomas pulls out a goofy performance and wins TdS actually!

Hard to tell if his last three days of grabbing seconds is out of strength or insecurity.

It could come down to seconds obviously so I think it makes sense. The fact he did so well on the MTF finish and the 2nd stage do not suggest he is out of strength. Maybe the mtf still hurt his legs though.

Not to contradict what you said but for some added info, Thomas said after the MTF that he had the legs to follow Pinot's attack but had never gone full gas (certainly for his own benefit) on a MTF and was worried about altitude issues.

In 05 Freire won T-A. Cancellara winning Suisse is fine.
Cancellara also won T-A.
Cancellara also won 5000 million days in yellow at the tour. Having a guy like Fabian on the palmares only elevates the race.

I think Dumoulin will win the time trial but much closer than anticipated. I especially doubt that he can take enough time on Thomas or Spilak. Even Pinot is pretty hard

I agree with Dekker Tifosi.

I think Dumolin will win the time trial. It will be difficult, but not impossible, for him to overtake GT and Pinot.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Spilak may surprise as well.

If I had to put money on it my final GC will look as follows -

1. Pinot
2. Dumolin
3. Thomas

However I am not confident at all and think that the GC gaps at the end will be very close.

Compared to the time he did in 2009 on a more difficult course (i think), Fabian's time seems extremely poor. I expect guys like Dumoulin to be 3 minutes faster than that, and Sagan 30s faster than Tom.

lol what are you blabbing about again. if you honestly think dumoulin, world class itt rider will have problems taking 1:20 in nearly 40 km you have completely lost it. would make pinot one of the best itt riders in the world

They shouldn't count. So easy without bonus seconds
