Edit: Oops, sorry, Gee too. He was crossed from the Excel sheet because he had no contract when I updated it and I forgot to put him back in.

I'm not sure NSN agrees with that statement, but I get what you mean.

Menchov and Cunego at 11th or 12th.

Latour is one, yes. Not Andy Schleck.

Latour was, incidentally, the last time the white jersey winner didn't end up on the overall GC podium.

Karpets was way down on GC when he won his (not that he got any closer in following editions of the Tour) so I'd guess him.

Karpets is correct! Him and Latour won white while finishing 13th on GC, in 2004 and 2018 respectively. It's quite a close call, because Popo, Cunego and Schleck were all 12th while Basso and Menchov were 11th.

Worse white jersey winners were a bit more common in the 90s. Fabrice Philipot, finishing 24th in 1989, was the worst white jersey on GC since the competition was introduced in 1975.

I'd say enough time has passed for me to claim this round!

This is a bit different; name the person who was 3rd in the TdF GC in the following years:

2021
2022
2023
2024
2025

2021 - Tourmalet - someone in the break, probably someone who was trying to hold off Pogacar in the KOM classification. I seem to remember Wout Poels and Michael Woods being involved, going with the latter.
2022 - Galibier (presumably the time they climbed the proper side, given that they did it twice) - was this Sepp Kuss?
2023 - Loze - Felix Gall
2024 - Bonette - Matteo Jorgenson
2025 - Loze - Ben O'Connor

2021 - Envalira on the stage Kuss won, I had memory holed that because it's such an irrelevant climb coming from Puymorens. Was he also first over that climb or only on Beixalis?

Pretty sure 2023 through 2025 are correct, I honestly have zero recollection who was first over Galibier in 2022 though. I think I would remember if it was Pogacar or Vingegaard, it definitely wasn't Roglic, and I don't see who it would be from another team from the GC group, which makes me think the break was still up the road at that point and I've forgotten about that. I also think you would have hinted if I'd swapped the years for Kuss and Woods, so I guess I'll take Poels as my stab in the dark this time.

envalira was indeed the right climb , still no success with the rider

several riders ( including van aert ) were over galibier before pogi and vingegaard . the rider first over galibier also started granon on his own and he led the race until he was caught by his teammate

2024 was not jorgenson
