My view is to still ride for Evans considering it is a)his final WorldTour race and b) Evans can go with Porte's move on Wilunga and Dennis can sit back a bit more.

Cadel was at least the second strongest rider here (not sure if he could have answered Dennis attack if he had to). I hadn't expected Bouet there and Fernandez is riding superbly as well!

If Cadel really rides hard on Willunga Hill would R. Dennis even be able to stay with him? If not then I don't think there will be any internal issues with Evans and Dennis. Evans is still the strongest.

Porte is still in it especially if he can win on Willunga and get the bonus. The climb did not suit him today but great day for BMC.

Was that Dumoulin who lost a big gap to Evans in the last 100m, or did Evans strap a rocket on?

Pozzovivo will really go for it on Wilunga so it will be all strung out for Porte with BMC likely having the numbers.

Not sure if Dennis can hang on up Willunga which means Evans can sit back unlike last year when he was already leading. This probably works in Cadel's favour.

Dennis didn't commit himself either way. We'll have to wait to see what happens over the next few stages.
In any case Dennis will most likely take over from Evans at BMC.
I have to feel for Flakemore especially after breaking my collarbone before Christmas.

Yes, so launch Dennis early.
