As days go by, more and more do I see Kristoff as a guy who ruins races. So anticlimactic it's almost sad.

Clearly you did not see RVV.. He made the race there.

I did see the Ronde.

Quite odd to claim he ruined that race.
I guess you have the same objections to Cavendish, Kittel & Degenkolb? Infact, come to think of it, sprinters above a certain level should be banned as they tend to ruin a lot of races. Or at least, they should not be allowed to start unless there is enough of them on the startline to make the outcome uncertain. Of course: Cancellara and Martin make ITTS boring as well.. And don`t get me started on climbers!

Except I didn't claim he ruined that race. I thought it was obvious I didn't mean all races, rather ones like these where he is against a weaker field, or the ones you look at the profile and cannot see past him winning. It's slightly different with sprinters, as it is easier to come up with a race a rider like Kristoff will dominate or stand out as a clear favourite, than a flat stage where there's a wider range of contenders - unless, of course, Kittel is in there, and my feeling towards him is similar. Nothing against the guy, many are the times he takes the initiative of racing. I was pointing towards the competitive point of view, and riders from the lower ranks having their chances ruined by the big fish. I'll try a different wording next time. That said, this sentiment will likely go away if he's not as dominant on the second half of the season as he was in the first.

Mollema had better not manage to come third or something in this. There are hardly any specialist climbers in the field. Surely this is a huge opportunity to finally get a third career win rather than his four hundredth top ten. And if he gets the stage win, he should get the GC too.

Alright. Don`t think we disagree too much. Cav in periods, Kittel and even Kristoff now do dominate at times to the point where certain races/stages feels decided beforehand. But this isn`t really anything new in cycling (or most other sports) I think.
