I think tomorrow could be a contest between Contador and Porte principally, however, certainly Aru and Pozzovivo (though he may not be as brilliant) could be major factors in the end results.

Valverde?

As you will have noticed I edited the post, because I forgot Valv-Piti. I don't think he will win, but might be another rider to reel in when the fireworks begin.

Yes, I agree :)

Awesome for Pozzovivo! I hope he has a great Giro. Now to find the rest of his pre-Giro schedule...

If it goes to the finishing climb with a big group, Valverde should win it 10 times out of 9

Tinkoff-Saxo and Contador will go mad at the HC climb, but never really drop the Porte and Valverde.

I hope Contrador attacks on the penultimate climb, 'cause the overall ranking is gone and so he only have to test his legs with an attack from a distance. Besides wait for the last climb is suicide if he wants to get a stage win, too pedabile and almost all are faster than him

Tomorrow Valverde wins a bunch sprint. Hard to see how Rolland can loose the race.

Well yesterday was pretty brutal in terms of the racing and was much easier than today, granted there were a couple of crashes but apart from Valverde and perhaps Rolland there wouldn't have been many other riders capable of following the 5 in front. If Contador or perhaps Porte goes ballistic on that final climb they will be strung out.

There is no chance that Rolland will surive. Tinkoff and Sky will split the race apart on the HC climb. The % doesn't matter, if they go hard it will split anyway, we had example of that yesterday.

Agree, I cannot understand when people say that Contador, Uran etc. are out of the GC. But looking at the odds at Betfair (Rolland odds on, Contador 6/1, Porte and Uran 12/1, Aru 33/1) I guess I'm in minority to think that Roallnd will lose at least 3 minutes today. Unfortunately Norwegian laws make it difficult to transfer money to Betfair so I will not be able to place a bet today

Surely if Rolland loses 3 minutes Piti should be the fave for the overall.

Depends if we are going to see an all out attempt from Sky and Tinkoff with most likely of the favourites Contador allready attacking on the penultimate climb valverde might be in trouble as well.

We can only hope if the big GC men find this race valuable enough to go all out ofcourse.

We're in Spain, Valverde is not gonna get dropped easily, he has to get all the time bonus and actually drop Uran, Martin and Pozzo if I'm correct, and that will be a very hard task. A lot depends on who will get away on that climb and how the cooperation is

Danielson (Cannondale), Herrada (Movistar), Coppel (IAM), Zoidl (Trek) and Loic (Cofidis) up the road with about 7mins.

Not use whether to take Herrada's presence to mean Valverde is planning something or to mean he's not!
