It's not the number of 2nd places, it's the "how" that is frustrating. Half of them could've been won with smarter racing. Thats all.

How was that bad tactics from Etixx? Maybe Alaphillippe should have sat up when he caught preidler, but he had momentum and with a little bit more hesistation from behind he would have made it. Verona was clearly cooked and could not have closed the gap to Preidler.

You conclude from an interview where Valverde said he considers himself the best spanish rider of the 21st century that he doesn't like Contador. That comment might be a bit awkward from piti, but it doesn't suggest he dislikes/hates Contador.
There is nothing that suggests they are friends, but I really don't see a personal grudge between these 2, unlike Purito and Valverde .......

I don't know, but I always have the impression that AC and Purito get along rather better than AC and Valverde. I think there's professional respect for one another, but not any particular warmth, but I'll be the first to admit this is only an impression and I'm not aware of any evidence for any bad blood between them.

That said, I don't think you'd ever hear anything outright, because they are far too experienced in the ways of the media and fundamentally professional in their approach to trade insults on twitter or whatever.

Obviously, other people have heard those rumors too or have the same impression. Valverde shouting at Contador at the 2013 TDF doesn't make it a whole lot better.

Verona being cooked is the exact reason why EQS screwed up. Why on earth would Verona attack not only once but twice in the finale? His only job in that situation is to close gaps whenever someone else attacks.

I saw Contador shouting on young Quintana for pushing the pace, which was not the case by the way.., Valverde standed in his defence, as he was/is his teammate and young inexperienced rider at the time

Contador said he was friends with Valverde. I really doubt he is real friends with him, but if you really dislike someone you are not going to say he is a friend.
