Weekend could be a damp squib tomorrow looks like a sprinters stage and on Sunday if a big group containing no threats goes up the road Sky will not give a *** and just keep a sensible gap .
It can only be done on bonifications. And I think the only ones that can do that are Valverde and Uran but they are too far down. The other two are Contador and Pozzo. I cannot foresee a sprint with these two trying to steal the bonifications from the other riders.Cance > TheRest said:So are there any hope SOMEONE might overtake Porte in the GC on the Barcelona stage? Makes sense, he could not let Richie take any bonus seconds, but he's so caught up with winning he might actually lose his podium spot. Valverde is just 1 stage win behind him.

Well, he does have the palmares to risk a podium place for the overall.

To be honest today was pretty brutal, if a rider was having a bit of an off-day they had no hiding place out there. There were also guys who found themselves on the wrong end of the echelon's that Sky then Valverde created.

He had a flat in the worst possible time, just when the wind started splitting the race. Bad luck.

Really?
In the end, I had to be careful, when Valverde attacked and I didn’t want to follow, because there were others who had to close the gap and for me it was also better that Alejandro, who is a friend, won instead of any other rider”, comments Alberto Contador after the stage finish in Valls.

I think Berto is a cheeky little liar, they aren't friends.

Sure, this is just the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

I don't think these guys will be friends in the future and you can add J.Rod in the mix.
