With the nature of the final three stages, Dan Martin must be favourite.

Lol how so?

Martin is by far the most likely of the top 5 in GC to pick up bonus seconds on the remaining stages. Do you still have De Clercq as favourite (he definitely has a good chance of retaining the lead)?

It will be close, but I doubt Martin will be able to pick up enough bonifications, so he will have to drop De Clerq and not be dropped by any of the other contenders. Not impossible for him though.

Is Bardet sick?
Cause he's going backwards from Ruta del Sol. He was 27 minutes down today.

Contador's ride in february destroyed froome and bardet

So what?
Froome took a easy training ride since he knew from the stage before he had no chance to compete for the CG. No mystery here. Happened to all f them: Nibali in Poland, Evans at the TdF, Lemond in the Giro, and so on. What did it all mean? Well, the very next GT they delivered...

The only big mystery here is that the clinic didnt come up with some more crazy CTs, or at least a big celebration day.

The GC is still to much in play to I think the sprinters will be their in the end, I expect that Sky will try to send people in the break and wait on top for Porte and help him on the downhill section

Anyone know how hard the last Cat 2 climb is? It's so hard to tell from the profile picture.

The event website states the Cat 2 is 4.1kms @ 4.8% average. It's a wide road, though, which will mean there won't necessarily be any big acceleration before the bottom, and the descent is straightforward. The last couple of kms into Valls are flat but winding.

Alt de Lilla was on the course the last two years (same finish in Valls) and hasn't made any differences. Last year won Mezgec and two years ago Gerrans (in a stage more difficult with a 1st category first) but still with around 50 riders coming together.

Dan Martin takes 3 secs in the first intermediate sprint. Moves him into 3rd place overall now.

He only took 1 second bonus according to reports I've seen.

Your probably right, the report I seen was in Spanish, he must have been 3rd in intermediate sprint. I read it as 3 sec bonus.
