Tinkoff just aren't good enough in the mountains, it was the same in TdF.

It's a shame, cause Contador and Majka could perform better, if their helpers could match those on Sky, Movistar and not least Astana.

No one expected Majka to have any help in the mountains when the team was announced - was obvious

Hansen should be there - so should Paulinho - that is what they are there for!

If the team was not riding for overall GC, there would be no point to riding the way they are.

Did you actually expect Jesper Hansen and Paulinho to be able to be there? Granted, Jesper Hansen has shown promise in the mountains, but has never ridden any stage races that lasted more than 7 days, and he complained about not feeling too well the other day. Paulinho has never been a climber per se.

They have Poljanski up the road. Still, the lineup is pathetic. TInkoff played out this season terribly. Send the strongest supporting cast to the Tour where there is a weak leader, have not much in the Giro (fine with weak lineup but still had potential to end badly) and absolutely no support in the Vuelta
When they planned the season, they were probably hoping for Contador to reach 2014 form. Given that he was the best rider last season, and that his Giro panned out right, their planning is understandable

So again, why is Froome in Vuelta?

Crashes and gets injured, then after a hard chase, gets dropped, and suddenly it's a lack of form?
The crash surely is one reason why he dropped, but I just think that he isnt in good shape

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Froome is in great shape either. But you can't just pretend that he's not already had to make a big effort

and Alberto hasn't be so ashamed as Chris today, Alberto has been fighting till Paris. This guy is gone. Shame on you @SkyProCycling

He is such an idiot. I'm not a fan of Froome by any means, but he's managed his season better and achieved a lot more than any Tinkoff rider has this season.

He is just the charicature isnt he? :D

Tinkoff is nuts :D Froome is clearly fighting, otherwise he would just step off the bike. Anyway, he will teach Tinkoff a lesson next Tour. Entertaining though.

Froome is probably sick, given that he was handed (presumably) medicine from the car.

Froomellara has taken back 10 seconds, was just saving energy for the descent, not like these fools on the front

It was already obvious in the Giro that he stands no chance in the Tour (for those who weren't blinded).
I just hope they won't make the same mistake next season. They just have to get Sagan more support in the classics and Majka in the Vuelta

To show that he's human and vulnerable to the fatigue of 2 grand tours in succession. It's good pr for his image.
