Shame for Quintana, would have liked to have seen him soar even just for a stage victory, so to compete for gc at tour & vuelta? kids, do not do it!_!

Sickness doesnt explain why he first tried to hold majka's and nieve's wheel before he exploded. It can be the reason but in that case fever has to be combined with stupidity

Didn't see that one yet. Ffs Nairito just quit, rest and recover for next year.

I agree people underestimate back to back gt's (though I feel Froome can do the Tou/Vuelta double) but how has this Vuelta proved that?

Nairo was badly sick with fever since Tuesday
Valverde has been decent/average
Froome fractured his foot
Purito has been very good

So in what way has this Vuelta proved anything?

Aru is the strongest climber in the race and did not do the Tour; all the other riders who did the Tour are nott as good as him (and in my personal opinon all the big names who did the Tour are better climbers than Aru).

That's painful to watch. Shows he's just not fit.

Sorry, but this one was after the Mont Ventoux stage in 2013 Tour de France.

Purito didn't dig deep every day. He didn't ride an GC and that obviously matters.
Quintana becomes sick. That can be because he's digging to deep or just bad luck.
Valverde rode his best TdF ever only to be worse then he usually is at the Vuelta.
Froome I doubt would be at his best, but that's just guessing. We will never know.

It does nothing of the sort. The video is not from this year. (Look at the bike.)

I think both Nairo and Froome looked to be struggling, perhaps they would have got stronger as the race continued perhaps not, Valverde is below normal and Purito never rode the Tdf for gc. Is it possible to compete even win both, yes, but you'll be at a great disadvantage to anyone doing Giro/Vuelta.
