Aru went too early, but he had to go early if he wanted to gain some time on Tom. Aru should be able to gain some time on Purito in the ITT, but the next 2 days could be very interesting...

Quintana, what a clown.

I should get some fever too during my training sessions.
Are you serious?

He had fever wednesday and thursday you could seen it from team videos, now you can see he has recovered and maybe is the strongest which is huge
Or maybe he just had a good day today.

Well that got a bit exciting :). Aru went a bit to early it appears. It was good to see Nairito riding so free and effortlessly :). Poor Bala, he gave to much on le Tour and with the crash just doesn't have it here.

Kudos to DeMarchi!!!!

If Tom can continue like this he's in with a chance. Hopeless time triallers like Rodriguez and Quintana have pretty much no chance. Too far back. A few seconds here and there isn't enough.

Aru remains the overwhelming favourite.

Nothing happened till 3km to go but the last 3km were pretty fun. Congrats to De Marchi, Quintana has recovered and Purito gains 1s on Aru lol. Dumoulin is still there, as are Majka and Chaves. Still a very open race.

Mind you, Quintana could still force a comeback if he's form is on the up.
And I think Dumoulin will crack tomorrow or monday. He didn't look that great today even if he only lost 20 seconds
Yep,he looks on the edge :(

Aru went too hard today, he'll pay for that in the next two days.

Agree. Something tells me he could lose chunks of time the next coming days. He is eager defending the jersey, and jumps on everything, but could pay for it later.

Perhaps this could turn out to a massive nailbiter in the TT.

Good last few kilometers, especially good to see Nairito this good. Unfortunately the last stages are some medium mountain stages so he has to put time into the field now, tomorrow and obviously monday. He still have an outsider shot. Getting hyped for monday now!

Chaves good as well, hope he can keep it up. Movistar should take control tomorrow.

Yeah, let's hope Quintana attacks early on the climb tomorrow. That would spice things up.
