So Murito actually has the chance to win a big one?

I can't watch. He's going to choke it somehow.

I thought you were a fan of him. :(

He will not choke. He will only lose because someone is better.

This quite possibly might be the first stage I'm going to watch from this years vuelta. If it ends up with Purito as a winner and Dumoulin's own Velits like 2nd place while prerace favorites were Nibs, Froomey, Nairo, Bala and Aru that will be both awesome and hilarious.

No fight for the break this time. First attempt is the right one:

Omar Fraile (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA), Carlos Verona (Etixx-Quick Step), Pierre Rolland (Europcar), Frank Schleck (Trek), Rodolfo Torres (Team Colombia)

It would be great to see Fraile seal up the KOM jersey. Good result for him. He really went for it and getting that lead was good because in an exhausting tour, no one gives a *** about it unless Torres thinks he can still win it. But I doubt that, Torres is going for the stage win and I hope he gets it.

Think everyone is *** to bother. No one that missed the break will chase because they don't have the legs, and the GC teams probably won't chase. Movistar know Quintana doesn't have it, so they won't chase. Doubt Katusha will chase. So Schleck or Torres for the stage win.

Queen stages should be won by the best, its such an anticlimax when a break wins. Katusha SHOULD take the chase up. They still have 9 left, right?

They've got 8. Isaychev abandoned. But I agree this stage should be won by the best, but maybe Purito wants to let someone else win a stage :p

Make that 18 minutes. No one is a threat to Fraile's jersey, so if he picks up maximum points at the next 3 climbs, he doesn't have to worry about the last 2 climbs, he will have close to a 50 point lead on his nearest rival. 40 points are available on Saturday's stage.

Time limit might get tough for the gruppetto given they're already down so much time?

Astana are playing this one badly me thinks.
If Aru feels well, Astana should pace things up.
Slow tempo playes perfectly into Tom D and Purito's plans.

Maybe they are saving it for Cobertoria? Or maybe Aru doesn't feel well? ;)
Everyone is so tired that they need two consecutive rest days

This

With a TT coming up, Purito needs all his energy for that.

They will *** everyone on Saturday's stage.

They're going at like 26 km/h. What a great race.

I think the peloton might even go slower than that. Most of us could do lead a peloton an that pace :D

They are definitely going to ramp up the pace on the last two climbs. That's a guarantee. No point going hard on these climbs.
