I want Aru to win since I put money on him before the race, but again, I just think he ran out of real climbs to drop Domoulin.

According to Vino Aru is not feeling well. They don't want to be second though.

Here is the full quote from Vino for anyone interested:
"We have decided on a strategy. Fabio has been suffering from his fall and he hasn't slept well but he's a warrior. Tom Dumoulin is very strong but I can assure you we don't want to end up second in the Giro and second in the Vuelta. We want to win."

Vanotti also said this:
"I am in a lot of pain but I do not want to let my team mates down in this decisive stage."

I like that spirit. A losing fighter is more of a winner than a safe second place.

Dumolin and Aru are pretty close in the betting odds it looks like, no clue how it'll turn out.

Anyway I wonder what the strategy is. Boni seconds gone, Aru has to drop Dumourain and get quite some gap now.
Quite the unlikely task IMHO.

This. Looks like a quite a mistake by Astana. Having 4-10 bonus seconds available makes a world of difference.

AND YOU SHALL READ IT AGAIN!

I mean in late 2013. You were a happy guy then. :p

Yes I don't bet often, but when I do I tend to hit bullseye. Rui Costa to win Worlds was a good one (26 to 1) but Ciolek to win Sanremo was much better (71 to 1 or something like that). Aru was "just" 9 to 1 before the Vuelta.

Impressive indeed.
