I would be raging too if that happened to me. He didn't physically attack anyone (as far as I know?), kicked the bike and punched a door...pretty normal reaction in my opinion when your blood is boiling. It's not like he physically attacked the driver of the bike. That would be crossing the line.

As for how he is as a person, I don't know the guy only seen glimpses of his personality in conjunction with bike races which hardly tells the full story about a person.

Boeckmans has a severe facial trauma with several fractures and will probably need surgery. He also has a concussion, 3 broken ribs and had a bleeding in his lung. He is now kept in an induced coma for a few days.

Sagan is a terrible person, proof here:

Sagan is a really funny guy, and one class act. The fact he lost his rag after some idiot took him out is entirely understandable, he was in pain (a lot looking at that wound on his thigh) and had lost the chance to win the stage. To add insult to injury they then fine him twice, one for bringing cycling's image into disrepute, that is seriously taking the pee  Haven't read any confirmation that he spat at medical car, which is out of order if it did occur.

The guy has a green shirt!!

And Majka could have told him. But once again Majka is a horrible teammate and a **** person.

+1 on Majka.

Majka is easily one of the most hateable riders in the peloton for me

Emmm... what? how? What should Majka do today? He is a team captain for GC, and there was not even the smallest chance that Sagan can get back into the leading group. Watch Tour de Suisse to learn how Majka helps Sagan. And what is wrong with winking? I think too much importance is put on one, not entirely clear, situation during last TdF.

I rewatched the scene. Doesn't seem like the medic's car had anything to do with the crash so why we would he punch the car out when they are looking after his well-being. Hate to say it, but it looks like this guy is on illegal mind-altering party drugs, like methamphetamine.

Great logic. Bullet proof.

Tinkoff such a **** team. What were they thinking?

Strange Bala didn't try.

Stuyven great win!

He did not know that Sagan was down.

The guy has a green shirt!!

And Majka could have told him. But once again Majka is a horrible teammate and a shitty person.

Wow that's pretty strong. I do believe Majka is quite self centered and rides for himself at every opportunity, but 's****y person' is jumping the shark a bit.
Agree with you Carol. Let's stay calm and not overreact, okay?

I find it hilarious that, whenever people ask LS to elaborate on Sagan, they'll accuse LS of being biased and irrational, even though LS is putting together well thought out and indeed rational posts listing specific reasons to dislike Sagan.

Just like when Kittel won stage 1 in the 2014 Tour and then announced he wasn't even going to try to defend it. I despise when a guy like that gets the chance to wear the leader's jersey.

I wouldn't be too hard on him. He did win an uphill sprint ;)
and he knew he didn't have a cat in hell's chance of defending it.

Oh no, for the first time in my life I've defended Kittel, it will be Gerrans next.

Gerrans really is having back luck this year.

I really wonder why Jesper Hansen kept chasing so long after the Sagan "incident". I'll be interested in what Majka says about it. Although he can be a creep, he seems to get on pretty well with Sagan (Sagan definitely owes one of his victories in TdS to Majka and it looked liked Rafał was trying to set Peter up on the stage Bala won). Even if you are a creep, letting your team mate work at the front for no reason makes no sense.

Shame that Adam didn't win. I'm still looking for my first correct prediction of a winner , although on nearly all the stages I've been pretty close.

According to Tristan Hoffman, Hansen radio wasn't working. Tinkoff should look into that. In the Tour, they also had problems with the radio of Majka.

I understand Sagan rage after he was hit by the moto. Who wouldn't be pissed after that? But, if he really spat on the medic car, that's inexcusable. Suffering a bad accident doesn't make acceptable every reaction.

During my rides I get annoyed when I have to put my foot on the ground 'cause of someone's carelessness, that's how irritating it is, so everything Sagan did I understand fully.
The fine he received should be followed by an official apology and a visit from the race director. If they want to follow the rulebook strictly, they should think about their influence on the image of the race, as well.

Of course Sagan was angry after getting taken out by that moto. Sure, it wasn't the most sensible of reactions to take it out on the medic car, or the other motos (or his own bike), but that's the thing; when your blood is boiling you don't really think.
Bonus point to the other camera moto who went up to him as he was riding towards the finnish: "Here's a guy who just lost an 99.99% winning chance due to being taken out by a moto. Let's make some closeups of him!"

As for Broeckmans; I really, really, really hope he'll make a full recovery.

SoooooOooooooooOo, Sagan was fined for spitting over the medics car or for his reaction after being knocked off by the moto? If the latter, then I don't know what to say.

What Big Mac is saying, as I read it, because they split out the former and the latter, that if Sagan was fined for spitting at the medics' car, then it is a fair punishment (because they had nothing to do with the incident), whereas if he was fined for his reaction after being knocked off by the moto, then BigMac is speechless because he had every right to be pissed off with the moto and doesn't deserve to be fined for that.

Are you serious? I think Sagan was right but he punched the guiltless medic car, insulted and apparently threatened pretty much everyone on sight, makes rude gestures in front of the camera while is on live worldwide television. The fine was fair and to be expected.

Thats true,I respect his opinion cuz he is very rational.but he still doesnt have insight to Sagan 'a regular guy' life (non-cyclist) so IMO he judges him wrong (only how he behaves as a prof cyclist- which is wrong)

This is correct. Sorry if I could have made it more clear.

Well, I didn't know about that. It doesn't make that much of a change in my book (if indeed punched the car and not the people inside). The rude gestures I can understand too, the threatening and insulting of others is still speculation, isn't it?
