Jack Bobridge rode with a 2015 Trek-jersey, without the Segafredo logo, but on a lot of pictures (on Trek-Segafredo Twitter, Cyclingnews, ...) he is captured with the Segafredo-logo on his chest. Strange and amateurish.

Well spotted. And indeed quite bizarre.
No kidding  Amateurish especially from Bobridge, provided he had the new jersey and just forgot it at home or mixed them up. But why would he even have the old one? So maybe that was the only one the team gave him...
Edit: In fact, he does not even need the new jersey anymore ;)

Ha. Photoshopped logo on Bobbo's top. :D

OGE mucked up by not putting one of their more fancied riders in the early break along with Hepburn but Drapac was anonymous apart from Sulzberger & Roe's early efforts. TdU will be more of a gauge as to whether Gerrans is still highly competitive or showing signs of decline. Ewan "cracking" was no surprise; he's likely to be "off the back" more often than not when it comes to any real major races. OGE will most likely re-sign him at the end of the season ....... fools if they do but it's Gerry Ryan's money not mine ! Haig will not race TdU but will race Sun Tour & Cuddles; will be interesting to follow his season in Europe.

What is it exactly about Ewan that you do not like? He is overhyped to a point but he's only 21 and been racing against much older Pro riders and beating them, yes it has been against lower ranked opposition but he's still a kid racing and winning. Also has a Vuelta stage win and high placings in other events in his neo-pro year to suggest he will make a quality rider, why would OGE be foolish to re-sign him?

OGRE would be utter morons not to resign Ewan while he's still cheap. ATM it looks like him and Gaviria are going to be the next top line sprinters. They're already matching the big boys for top end speed, Gaviria especially.
Ewan wont be a field sprinter, he will be like Matthews and Gerrans. Remember Matthews won a Vuelta bunchie in his first year with GE.

Matthews and CE no longer will have the top end speed to match it at Tour de France field sprints, they will need the decimated fields or Fleche, or Amstel, or via Roma and San Remo, or Liege

Have we seen the same races? Ewan's climbing in the big races has so far been on Kittel level, if not worse. He's more likely to end up like a Guardini than a Matthews. I believe he can be a very good sprinter for the flat stages though.

no, he goes uphill ok, and he is 21... he is tiny, about 5'5 135lbs.

More likely Ewan ends up like McEwen - able to get over hills that the other pure sprinters can't quite climb with the best.

I see him more as a bunch sprinter like Cavendish. He is not that good on the hills neither was Robbie McEwen. Most of McEwen's wins were on flat sprint stages.

Ewan is probably a bit too small to be a bunch sprinter like Cav and Kittel. Just look at his Vuelta win last year. Like McEwen is a good bet.

wow, todays TDU, Ewan showed them a clean set of wheels/heals, he was doing 2 to 1 in the last 100.

He has that cannonball type CdA (slipstream profile, zero frontal aread) when he sprints, exactly like Cav, mebbe even more aero, but, until you get into a wind tunnel, and you cant do it for sprinting, it would be impossible to know, to measure.

point is 46, I think he may just have potential for the bunchies, like Cav. So I was wrong wrong wrong. Now, I reckon Cav is GOAT, so I could not say for another decade about Caleb Ewan and he needs a palmares and results. And Cav is a once in 5generations rider. so silly comparison by me.

It looks like he has put on a bit of muscle mass since last season. I would say he used to go uphills well but not so much based on the last two races and his current build.

I would speculate GreenEdge have told him bank everything on flat lead out type sprints this year.
