Sagan will win the Worlds, whichever way he choses. Sprint? Will win like a hardman. Crosswinds? He'll be in the front... and win. Attack? He can do it... and win.

Back to back rainbow incoming.

Sagan wont even be in top 10 in the worlds, trust me.. :D
How many one day races did he not finish top 10 this year? won't be a lot.

Im not saying it cause he dont deserve it or aint strong enough, im saying it cause he will have no chance in the tactical play cause he is to strong favorite this time. Its just how it goes, and u know im right.

Have posted for a while that Sagan nearly always finds himself in the prime position to contest the final - When will riders learn to find Sagan's wheel.

Ive never seen a fight for Sagans wheel in a sprint, ever.. And there is a reason why.

There is always a fight for 3 wheels in a sprint , Kittels, Cavs and Kristoffs.. Cause they go straight and strong .. And are always to rely on. (mostly)

Quite simply because the others may have the power but not the technical ability to follow him.

Thats true, but also that historically Sagan dont win many straight mass sprints .. The sprinter that comes to mind that nobody could take the wheel of was Robbie McEwen, the old Bmx midget ;D

Sagan's biggest problem is probably that his sprint usually isn't that good anymore after a long and hard race. There is a reason why he has never won Milan-san remo

Indeed, thats also why Cav is captain on UK team. What will be funny to watch is the fight for captain on the german team, Kittel vs Greipel vs Degenkolb .. lol. I bet they will have a woman in the car as sport director to make it a fully disaster :D

He often also ends up falling between two stools.

To be honest this is probably the reason why he often loses sprints against weaker sprinters at the end of one day races, and it probably won't be a problem in Qatar. Therefore he definitely has a chance but I still don't think he will win.

Edit: I hope I interpreted the saying "He often also ends up falling between two stools" correctly :D

Re: Re:

Lol, most sprinters are stronger than Sagan; but Sagan is technically almost perfect.. He pushes all in at the right time.

Sagan has no help in the worlds.. And you cant sit on a wheel in the worlds..
How much help did he had at last year's worlds, RVV, European RR and so on?

And what makes you believe that a weak Germany with 3 leaders, or a GB for the puny Cav, will stop this race from getting destroyed? Who is going to chase Sep Vanmarcke on the flat? What about Tom? Gilbert? GVA?

Gilbert? The guy who barely did a top 10 on a perfect route for him in the EC?

Gilbert has no place in the worlds for Belgium, he will never go all in for Boonen...

Sagan's results in one-day-races this year:

Omloop: 2
Kuurne: 7
Strade Bianche: 4
E3: 2
GW: 1
RVV: 1
Scheldeprijs: DNF
PR: 11
NCRR: 2
Bretagne: DNF
Quebec: 1
Montreal: 2
ECRR: 1

That's 10/13 top 10's and 8/13 top 3's.

Also, I count 88 wins and 70 second places in his career so far, so I'm not sure how he "collects" second places?

But besides the ERR, his biggest wins were solo.

Sagan is currently 13-12 this season. Last time where he had more wins than seconds was 2013 :).

I hope Tinkoff will not lose more than 30 seconds tomorrow. It would be good to lost leaders jersey but not by much time.

He might not win but he'll defintely be up there. He always is against the worlds best sprinters. Just because he's a favorite doesn't mean he can't top 10.

I'm quite confident that he will make the top-3.

Yep, he's not the favourite to win, but he's the most likely rider to finish in the top 3 imo, whereas Cav/Kittel/Greipel are eiher going to finish 1st, 2nd or get boxed in/dropped in crosswinds

Check the records - No rider gets as many top 10's and 5's as Sagan. That's the reason.

Quite simply because the others may have the power but not the technical ability to follow him.

You need nous not technical ability to follow Sagan's wheel.
