The big three are vulnerable.

Landa will be better in the high mountains, but especially Bala and Nibbles (especially him) below their best.

Voted Landa ... just because I think this is how SKY likes to do things. Drop the hammer on first MTF and just control the race from there.

As I said before, that's the Tour gameplan, not implemented elsewhere.

Honestly this was way better than expected. Wellens wins, Dumoulin is impressive, and the two top favorites nowhere to be seen. This giro will probably be open for a very long time.

I can understand Fulgsang sprinting for the bonus, but not helping Zakarin. Dumoulin and Pozzovivo...

 If Dumoulin gets a huge gap on the coming TT - then he may causing lots of trouble for the other contenders

Piti also kinda sucked, this is supposed to be where he's at his best.

Zakarin and Majka looked the best imo

I think fuglsang will collapse anyways

Fuglsang just said that Nibali attacked after they got a call in the team radio that Landa and Dumoulin were looking weak. That kind of backfired for Nibali. :D

Is it just me, or have Nibali's attacks been kinda weak since his last tour win(and to be fair, his top competition wasn't present there to gauge it anyway)? He can never seem to make them stick after he gets clear and ends up losing time whenever he tries.

Kruijswijk also really good today. totally not his climb. Will wreck face all over the place in the 4th week

So who are the main contenders? Nibali and Landa? I don't think so.

I think Majka is stronger than we saw today. He was probably keeping tabs on Nibs and Landa, so he missed the real move.

He doesn't give a **** about Nibali. He's here to ride his own chances.

I'm totally fine with that. It makes the race better not having one dominant team me thinks :D

Well, turned out to be a quite interesting first MTF stage in end . Massive props goes to Tim Wellens; I wish every team had a rider like him.
