Yep, he's going to lose the Vuelta here. Great job by the organizers. Vuelta has always been a race where time gaps are small because the way the stages are designed.

The poor organization is the number one reason the Vuelta is considered the least prestigious GT.

To be fair, time gaps are small between nearly all GC contenders. Except Tinkoff, who have been abysmal.

49 seconds this early in a GT with so many mountain stages is absolutely nothing. Ye Contador stans are the worst.

Official timing is off. Think the 5th guy of Lotto lost his transponder and now they are classifying the 6th (who was way back, hence the 19th place)

I am very suspect about the timings at the Vuelta ...we saw it a few years ago whne Pozzovito beat Tony Martin and nealry beat Cancelera ....looked very suspicious then ....still think their timings are out and no one knows

Bodnar, Valgren and Kreuziger on the team would have made more than half a minute difference. But instead, we have Hernandez, Paulinho, Rovny, Trofimov... It's like they are deliberately trying to lose...
