A Sky Duchie wins a monument :D

Feel a bit sorry for Albasini though. Rode super on the cobbled climb.
Whenever you feel sorry for Albasini, remember he's the guy that called Kévin Reza a "dirty n****r".
yup, he is a serious idiot, thats true

Happiness and rage at the same time here as a Dutchie and a Sky rider won
One might think Sky work less than anyone and don't deserve to win...
One might think that after such a crap race you'd want anyone but the favourites to win.

Soooo..... nothing happened until Rue de Naniot, more backloading of a race means waiting longer till we get action. It's such a straightforward simple thing, but still organizers don't seem to understand it. Rue de Naniot is a nice climb, but not for 3km from the finish ffs.....

Awful race and awful result

I don't mind him winning but yeah, whole ardennes just suck.
Was really hoping for Albasini to take a well deserved first monument. Apart from Betancur, nobody deserved the win more than him today

Good race IMO. I did enjoy it. Good showing by Albasini, Poels and Samu.

Was hoping for Samu to take it but Albasini probably deserved this win.

What do I know ...

That Albasini/Réza thing was settled by the riders themselves the day after. But some people need to stir this up years after again and again. Get a life.

Never mind, glad Poels took it then

Worst Liege ever...everyone waiting for the cobbled climb

If that had been the case, everyone would have still been in contention by the top of it.

Bad weather, draining ride, attrition rather than acceleration before the cobbled climb: only 4* strong enough to last the pace before it and still be competitive off it.

*: arguably 5: Zakarin, I'm guessing, was just badly positioned at the foot.
