It's Porte's time to shine. After Oman disaster he should do something in this race or he'll end up slaving for TVG in Le Tour.

Not sure, but I think Hugo used to be a pretty good poster, no?

But what I've seen from him in the past weeks, his account must have been hacked. I have no other explanation.

What's that supposed to mean? Which part of my post made you write that?

So you don't believe either of these five scenarios that I listed are possible outcomes today:

a) a sprint between a select group will decide the stage
b) a break will take the stage win
c) a rider attacks from the select group on the final climb and takes the stage win
d) Contador does his thing and wins
e) Matthews holds on and wins

The last one is mainly wishful thinking and probably unrealistic, but I'm curious what scenarios you see as likely today then?

f) Lutsenko to mark AC and take GC afterthe duo leaving the rest behind. An obvious one

Well, that is indeed the most likely one ;)

C and d are obviously very realistic, but not the names you posted for scenario c. Scenario d you were very hesitant about, which is surprising.

Edit: and you said, the main question is if they'll be able to get rid of Matthews. I mean... If he can, this makes Froomey's transformation look silly ;)

Yet another time Polish eurosport shows all stages live apart from the most important one, which isn't live because of prioritising other disciplines on Saturday. :(

If biathlon counts as skiing, then you're right. :D

Hopefully this will no longer be an issue when winter sports are done for this year.

there will always be snooker...

Deride, deride, but there's plenty of likeness between the sports....both contain the involvement of some pretty big balls :D

So you are the pot calling the eight ball black :p

Herrada and deGendt eager for KoM points again. Chavanel very keen to be getting away but the peloton not letting anyone go yet.
If Chavanel does get in the break of the day I think he has the motivation to possibly stay away today.

Talansky in the break

Technically no. He's chasing but hasn't bridged yet to these 7:

Duchesne (Direct Energie), Vachon (Fortuneo), Terpstra (Etixx-QuickStep), Gautier (AG2R), Rast (Trek), Siskevicius (Delko Marseilles) and Grmay (Lampre).

Talansky closing the gap. Looks like he'll make it an 8 man break.
Talansky winning from the breakaway would be great, but I think that the 2nd half of the stage will be raced pretty hard, so I don't know if the breakaway has a shot.

Yeah, don't think the break has a chance. Duchesne is not that far in GC and Sky/Tinkoff/BMC/AG2R... probably want their stage win.

De Gendt closed the gap, Break has 1'50.

EDIT: and now picks up the point on that second climb.
