Oh Geraint, why on earth do you want to be a GC rider? Do you really like sitting behind your domestiques all day over the actual racing that you did in the classics? :(

You gotta hand it to COntador ...never gives up....great rider

But what is with SKY ...major tactical fail
Well they have it down to 30 seconds now so if it all comes back together then it won't have been a failure

Well he's won a good deal more stage races than classics...

Weird that Sky don't even have anybody in the break. When Kiserlovski went in the first break, okay, that's not very dangerous, but when Trofimov also got in a chase... Then again, it's not that weird, since Sky are often clueless.
I'm not sure. Maybe I'm missing something, but what would Sky need anyone in the break for?

To have an extra dom after Peille. Now half their team got dropped.
He still have 4 doms left, should be plenty. Impossible task for Tromifov and Kiserlovski :(

How great is it to see the Track specialist out of his comfort zone just for once??! Derail the train now!!

That's getting tired
How is stating a fact tiring?

When it's not such a clear fact. I post this yesterday but anyway: By the time he'd won his first Olympic gold medal in 2008 aged 21 or 22, he'd won junior Paris-Roubaix, junior Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne, the Flèche du Sud (also won by such "track specialists" as Alex Zülle and Andy Schleck), podiumed the national road race (beating Steve Cummings among others) and ridden the Giro and the Tour.
But it doesn't subtract from the fact that he was pretty good at riding on the track.

Peer/social pressure. The only possible explanation. Fans are obsessed with stage racing and so is his team.

Watching this it reminds me again why I hate Team Sky more than I hate death. What a bunch of utter phonies.

Because they are doing there job and bringing back the attack for there team leader? I don't like Sky but phonies seems like an odd choice of words

Exactly, I quite liked him when he was only riding classics, now he's become a formatted robot everyone loves to hate.

Yeah, I only saw 2 or 3 in the beginning, but seems like they had some more hiding in the peloton. Still, it was tricky.
