Heavy rain is forecasted for the next days in the area, there is also an alert for flooding and landslides from Tuscany region for this weekend.
I hope that RCS has a B plan in case of problems over the route only a week before the race.

Imagine if it turned into a 30km criterium like Almeria a couple of weeks ago.

It's going to rain right?

I'm counting on the perfectly amount of rain while not cancelling the whole thing. :)

Crazy thing happening in southern Europe this weekend. Monchique, Algarve where they raced last week has a snow forecast for the weekend. There hasn't been any snow since 2006.

On Thursday. And it's too early to be sure anyway.

Too uncertain for me to predict the outcome. Always one of the best races. Can't wait!

Spartacuss has a good chance of winning the race, so it won't be cancelled or neutralized. :D

Yesterday on local newspapers were reported problems with some street closed near Siena because the road surface falls down.

Kwiatkowski has appeared in the Tirreno SKY list.
Might it be that he'll also race Strade Bianche?

Was he scheduled for PN earlier?

If he is going to Tirreno he might as well ride Strade. It's the perfect race for him.

How likely is it that this race will be part of the world tour soon?
Seriously, its significance is so high that its as important as many WT races anyway, but it would just be kind of nice to also see this race officially becoming more important.

That would be even better than the race entering the WT. :D
It's a fantastic and unique race, who cares about the whole Wt thing?

I dont think the race really needs WT status. It already has become a favourite for many of the top spring riders and it always attracts a great field. Promoting it to WT would mean that some teams who dont really care for the race would be forced to race it.

The race also seems to hold a lot of prestige already considering the official status of the race. Its perfect the way it is now.

I think another Czech rider will win this year, but this time it will be Vakoc instead of his teammate Stybar. That guy is on fire the last few weeks. :)
