Brilliant timing from Cav. His timing let him down last year but he managed to start his sprint at the perfect time.

What a great win. Fantastic sneaky Cav, Sagan putting those watts down showed that even on flatout stages he can win against anyone (300m sprint on the wind), Kittel isn't above the rest.

That's exactly why Prudhomme is stupid for being "innovative" and ditching the prologue. First day is way too nervous and dangerous.

He timed it perfectly.
Kittel started earlier than he should because of Sagan, but it turned to be Sagan was just Cavendish's lead out.

Looked like an awful crash. Anyone see what caused it (beyond the general "it was a super fast messy sprint on the first day of the Tour" reason)?

What a strong sprint from the world champion! Did Sagz try to get the jump on the other sprinters by taking it up so far out or was it just very bad timing?
