Cav and Kittel unsurprisingly dropped, Greipel hanging on in the peloton.
From 0 to 100 (Froome, Quintana) on a climbing scale:'

Kittel near 0
Cav 5-10
Griepel 10-15

?

I'd probably say Cav is not far off Kittel level now, he's gained that extra speed in his sprint back but it seems to have come at a cost of his climbing, he said he really struggled in the mountains the weekend.

Greipel has some decent form in being able stay in the bunch on climbs, especially when they aren't going full gas.
Interestingly, Cavendish hasn't been the fastest in any of the sprints so far - even in the sprints he's won:

Stage 1: Degenkolb - 69.95 km/h
Stage 3: Greipel - 62.14 km/h
Stage 4: Coquard - 68.8 km/h
Stage 6: Kittel - 74.27 km/h

Acceleration and how long you can hold your sprint is much more important than top speed. If you accelerate from Kittels wheel when hes hit top speed, your top speed will be highest but youre unlikely to win the sprint

Oh yeah sure, I just found it quite interesting nonetheless.
