Porte has a decent chance of gaining time from Froome.

Maybe this is the year he finishes on the podium?

Would be incredible if he can finish on the podium with the others having a 1:45 headstart

I once read that Mollema tried two different university degrees and failed to complete either of them before gambling it all on a cycling career.

I think TGM has a bachelors' degree in something like economics.

This may seem quite petty, but it annoys me in the light of yesterday.

Quintana is starting, and there's a kid who's clapping, and looking right into the camera, with his back to Quintana.

So you're bothering to go and watch the TT, and when one of the main contenders actually comes by, you're more interested in getting on TV.

No wonder cycling has spectator problems. If there was a way to focus on cycling rather than getting on tv (maybe blurring out faces?) things like yesterday would be far less likely to happen. As we'd have real fans, who know how to behave.

Carlton Kirby: "Bauke Mollema, sounds like he was named underwater", goes on to pronounce Bauke Mollema with an underwater bubbling noise.

There aren't many real fans. Most people who go to sports events just want to have a good time there, take a few selfies, perhaps get on TV.

I am expecting a second Mont Saint Michel TT from Dawg, I hope that I won't get disappointed

I wonder what the reasons are for not stopping him from commentating about cycling.

Or commentating about anything else for that matter
