Cannot see anyone getting near that.
Contador 2009 would beat that easily.
I know that you are having another dig at Contador fans but:

Contador 2009 could have beaten Dumoulin today.Froome can beat Dumoulin today as well if he brings his 2012 Tour/Olympics -2013 Tour-2014 Romandie TT form.Especially 2013 Tour-2014 Romandie TT form

Pretty incomparable, especially as then they had done the Pyrenees and the Alps already. This favours specialists more. That parcours was also less windy, and the hill was steeper.

poor wilco, barely staying upright even grabbing the bars... also Alaphilippe saying he crashed due to the wind while descending

Had that Annecy TT the same amount of wind this TT has? Contador would also suffer more in these conditions comparing Dumoulin.
I don't know the wind conditions in these two stages.
EDIT:It is said that there are strong crosswinds. It would favour Dumoulin a lot then.

Wuyts is curious to see how Kreuziger will do.

Why? Why so many people think he's a good time trialist? He's the most overrated TT'er ever!
It's based on an MTT Kreuziger won in his early years in Suisse.
He never did more than average ITT's. But somehow he is still rated as a specialist

Thomas 5th at first check

Clement lost a lot between checks 1 & 2, Thomas at check 2 should tell us if Clement just overcooked it or if it's wind related

I'm inclined to not mock anyone's bike handling skills today. Disc wheel + aero bars on a TT bike in strong crosswinds is scary.

Doumoulin has done a phenomenal TT. I don't think Froome will get within 40 seconds of it and its hard to know how much how the incident/knock from yesterday along with the super effort from the previous day took out of him. That said I think Froome will gain a lot of time on all the other GC men and the tour will effectively be over in terms of deciding the winner after today. It will then be a sky train all the way to Paris.

Clement, 15 seconds at check 1, 1'57 on point 3

Dumoulin did a stellar 2nd part. The 1st part checkpoint will be misleading.

Dumoulin's time looks very impressive.

I haven't read back, but has there been discussion of the reported Belgian TV pics of Quintana holding onto a motorbike from yesterday's stage? Today's Guardian website commentary mentions it.
