As long as no-one gets seriously hurt I kind of like this.

The gaps are small but present. So it's almost every rider for themselves.

No drafting possible.

Me too

Reminds me of years ago when Ullrich had a mechanical at the bottom of the final climb. Don't remember which.

As a fan I obviously hated it, but watching him race up the climb passing riders left and right was a thing of beauty.
1998 tour stage 10

Well remembered, actually going to look it up to watch it again later today ;), so thank you.

Credit to Bardet, he did something.

Porte and Quintana are a disgrace

Porte crashed, and Bardet took advantage of the crashes.

Bardet took advantage of more confident descending.

Same difference. I don't personally have a problem with it.

Well for some, descending away when crash happens is case for capital punishment :p

Froome riding Thomas's bike like it's his own.

Finnish commentators speculated that bikes have identical settings just for these situations.

Porte looking good, seems he didn't waste all that much energy getting back to the pack.

God, it hurts so much seeing Poels looking back the whole time. Such an ugly riding style

If Bardet can survive until the domestiques are burned up he stands a chance. The others are too frightened to attack and put their nose in the wind. Aru probably lost chance of podium now. Porte too. Leaving it too late.
