Re: 2016 TdF, Stage 7: L'Isle-Jourdain → Lac de Payolle (163

People are forgetting that Froome was extremely ill last week of 2015. So bad that they apparently considered withdrawing him.

Despite that Quintana only put, what, 2 minutes into him?

A healthy peak Froome beats Quintana 3rd week, every single stage

If he would've been extremely ill he should have finished behind Valverde for example.
The same thing happened with Froome in 2013 as well when Quintana beat him in the last week. I'm don't belive that he was extremely ill.

Lotto Soudal chasing as well.... for who that's the question...

green jersey points? I can't think of anything else.

Cause they want to be in the break?

Greipel is very far behind in the green jersey competition

they have no climbers at all, all set on Greipel....

So they just need to ride anonymously in the mountains?
They have Gallopin.

This is going to be an interesting chess stage. Movistar already hit the pedals hard this week and exposed some weakness on the Skybot train. Albeit it's still early, but they'll want to check the barometer today. Two thing come to mind; A) Movistar has matured as a team and B) Kick them when they are down. I don't buy this BS " I'm saving it for the last week " Froome Sky drivel. They are going to put the hurt on Contador no matter what today. Sadly I'm writing Contador off today. I'll be pleasantly surprised if he doesn't lose more than 3 minutes.

Aru and Quintana should put the one-two punch on Darth Sky and that'll be the end of the Sky Empire.

Maybe Tinkoff brings them water just to help out...

Sky is not a strong this year because Movistar has improved, mainly Quintana. Aru to me is an unknown quantity to me. He'll be in the mix for sure, but no yellow.

In a few hours we'll know. The uncertainty. That is why I have a full bottle of Tums and Maalox handy...

They have said that they won't go for the green jersey. That's why Greipel gave up in the last two sprints after he saw he didn't have a chance to win the stage.

I never said he can win, but they need to try. Certainly now that Greipel is failing.
And Gallopin with the form of the first 2 weeks of last years Tour can fight for a win.

he didn't show it thursday that TdF 2015 form yet...

He isn't targeting GC, he did last year. So he wasn't trying to hold on. I'm not saying he has the form, but you cant just sit back and do nothing in al the non-sprinter stages.
