2016 TdF, Stage 7: L'Isle-Jourdain → Lac de Payolle (163km)

Quintana started the first mountain stage last year with almost 2 minute deficit to Froome. They are on the same time this year.
Quintana looked impressive the whole season, winning several races and even a TT in the process. Froome did not.
Quintana was the weaker rider through the whole 1st week last year to Froome. By the reactions to Bardet atttack on stage 5, Quintana looked the better of the two this year.

For me, Nairo is the favorite number 1. Since Bertie (barring a miracle) won't win this I will at least hope for a Quintana win. Better than another Sky dominated Tour...

I think Nairo should attack today. Froome hasn't seemed to be feeling well over the last couple of days, so definitely worth testing him

A total myth started on here, he isn't peaking for the first 2 weeks like his last 2 wins so he is going to be more sluggish

And as I stated before, now he has decent chance bringing the green to the paris. And his point today probably is to be in the same group as sagan at the intermediate sprint. Even if he somehow loses the sprint to sagan, he will get many points compared to nearly zero in the peloton. It is much easier to be in the break then let ettix chase every break sagan has joined, and Cav is probably going to survive the cat4 climb.

of course he will, if he wants the green he has to. This year, it's only break that can earn him the green.
