Nah, I just don't think he's still going for anything ATM (too far from KOM I guess) and is just sticking it out ahead of the peloton for the sake of combativity. What else could it be really? Zinoviev Letter has a good point calling it for Pinot though.

Nothing personal against Majka. But I do think he does ride too passively most times. At least he's going in breaks TBH.

Why Majka is in the breakaway? Is he going for the Polka dot jersey?

Polka dots and stage win I guess. Or maybe Kreuziger is planning an attack on the Peyresourde and Majka will be up the road waiting for him.

If Kreuziger attacks I fear that some Contador fan will take him out on Peyresourde

you know that what goes around comes around right? Kreuziger can attack and drop contador. But contador bounds to recover over his injury at some point. That's when he returns his favor if he doesn't care about team anymore. He is with Trek. Kreuziger got no contract yet.

And because unlike Contador he doesn't have millions in the bank and a secured big contract waiting, like others in the Tinkoff team, he has to show what he's capable of.
