I suspect he won't be too bothered if he gets eliminated. His focus will be switching to Rio and the track in any case.mim sure if it wasn't for the fact that Merckx record is in sight he may well have called it a day already.

Contador at the back of the peloton :(

Yates as well. It's starting to look like a Valverde yellow. I honestly can't see Froome blowing up the Peyresourde. It's a race of attrition.

He is all alone with teammate Eisel, they are trailing 6 min behind the gruppetto, it will be very tough IMHO

Pitty to hear that, his sprinting form is perfect so far

Movistar taking a fair few pulls. I wonder if they will try to isolate Froome on the Peyresourde and then drop him over the top and on the descent.

Cavendish now thinking:

1. Won 3 stages
2. Got Peta Todd at home
3. Don't have to ride Alps.

"Sounds like a win-win-win I don't make the time cut."

to be fair, if I had her at home I would even start this race :)

The peloton has about 25 riders. It's about where you'd expect Kiserlovski to drop no?

Well he has two top 10 Giro finishes, plus he was an amazing domestique for Horner at the Vuelta.. Dunno he just seems so weak the last two seasons
