Well missing the time cut and getting thrown out is basically the same thing. A track sprinter picking up a few stages, then leaving the race. Depriving stages from riders who are actually in the shape to finish the race.

I know it has a fairly long tradition in GTs, but for me it diminishes the achievements if a sprinter doesn't complete the race. Moreso, if he never had any intention of completing it.

Cavendish has finished 10 out of 16 GTs he entered. For a sprinter I think that's respectable.

It is rediculous that that with all present technology we can get from race center the exact time of each rider we want. Get them the fu..g gps chips so we can track them.

Sure, in the past he's respected the race. Not sure he has this year. I'd like to see sprinters get retrospectively stripped of stage wins if they don't finish the race due to missing time cut/pulling out.

This stage should have been perfect for Bardet: attack right before the summit and do the descent for a 30s gain, for instance.
We just have the Sky Train to blame, I guess

I will still never understand Froome's insistence on stem watching every two seconds.

Well, what about Quintana's constant staring at Froome's butt?
